Andréanne Pérusse was greatly inspired by Big Blue Mama’s basket patterns to create the Odontoid cowl and our Tweed DK yarn was perfect for this design! Odontoid is a double cowl with a different construction that allows it to be reversible, the colorwork patterns are simple and make the knitting very rhythmic.

Odontoid is a double cowl with a different construction that allows it to be reversible, the colorwork patterns are simple and make the knitting very rhythmic. The odontoid is part of the second cervical vertebra (C2, or axis), the first cervical vertebra (C1, or atlas) revolves around the odontoid process. Since the cowl “turns” to make it reversible, it was the perfect name for this design!
